This site is a tribute to Pamela Parkin - Nanny Pam, who was born in Fulham on July 25th, 1931. Pamela married her beloved, Raymond Leslie Parkin, on September 27th 1956. They had three beautiful children, Susan, Karen and Sandra. Seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Samantha, Lynsay, Zoe, Matthew, Natalie and Francesca. And eight great-grandchildren, Mia, Oliver, Jack, Felicity, Cooper, Imogen, Elsie and Ivy who loved her and will miss her deeply.
Sadly, over the past year, Pamela's health deteriorated where she was having frequent falls at home. In November, it was decided for her to go into a care home, originally for respite care. In late December it was decided that she would probably remain there, as a permanent resident. Unfortunately, on Thursday 7th January 2021 she along with three members of staff tested positive for Coronavirus. She was doing well up until Friday 15th when she took a turn for the worse, she fought hard over the weekend but sadly passed away on Monday 18th January. Her sudden death has left us as a family devastated, made worse by the fact that we were unable to say our goodbyes. We are comforted by the thought that she is now at peace with Raymond (Dad, Grandad).
'Perhaps they are not stars in the sky but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.'
